Policies

HBB follows policies established by MYAS, which include but are not limited to: 

  • Code of Conduct Policy
  • Communication Policy
  • Disciplinary Policy
  • Coach Responsibilities/Expectations
  • Non-Discrimination Clause
  • Refusal Policy
  • Privacy Policy



  1. All players, parents/guardians will attest to the above policies at time of registration.
  2. The HBB board, by quorum vote, shall have the authority to discipline, suspend or terminate the membership of any member when the conduct of such a person is considered detrimental to the best interests of the association. The member involved shall be notified of the board meeting, informed of the charges and given the opportunity to appear at the meeting to answer such charges.
  3. The HBB board shall in the case of the player member, give notice to the parent/guardian and their team coach of any suspension or revocation of such player’s right to future participation.


Appeal Process

  1. All members of the association have the right to an appeal process
  2. A written notice for appeal will be submitted to the board
  3. The board will review and hold a formal meeting with the involved individual(s)
  4. The outcome will be resolved by a Quorum vote by the board.



Refund Policy

  1. 100% refund up to time of team formation
  2. Team formation occurs ~ 1-2 week after Assessments
  3. 0% refund after team formation
  4. Considerations for extenuating circumstances may be made on a case-by-case basis, quorum vote by board is needed. 


Appeal Process

Conflict Resolution

Handling of conflicts prior to, during and after the season is completed: 

1. If a conflict arises with a coach, player or parent, we ask that you please wait 24 hours after conflict  for cooling down period. 

2. Player/parent discuss matter with head coach, even if matter is with head coach. 3. If the matter is not resolved to all parties’ satisfaction, then elevate the matter to the appropriate  program director. 

4. If this still does not resolve the issue to all then the matter will be elevated to the HBB.

5. HBB will review the matter and determine final outcome.
