Girls High School Basketball
The program consists of student-athletes in grades 9-12 (grade 8 by invitation only) who are enrolled in the Hastings School District and meet the MSHSL eligibility requirements for age, academics, school attendance, and amateur status.
The Hastings High School girls basketball program competes in the Metro East Conference as a member of the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). Conference opponents include Mahtomedi, Tartan, South St. Paul, Hill-Murray, Simley, Two Rivers, and North St. Paul. At the state level, Hastings competes in Class AAAA, Section 3, alongside Apple Valley, Eagan, Eastview, Rosemount, Burnsville, Park, and Bloomington Jefferson.
Rick Tavernier is entering his fourth season as head coach of the Hastings High School Raiders girls basketball team.
2026-2027 Season
Registration window for winter sports will open in mid-October.
High school practice begins on 11/16/26 for the '26-'27 season.
* Note: All Traveling and Hoops Factory players receive free admission to regular-season Hastings Girls Varsity home games when accompanied by a paying adult and presenting their player pass at the gate.
